Orchid sales

There are now a number of our valued clients who enjoy the benefits of our Live Orchid Flower displays.

Many of you purchase these plants at the end of their month in the office, and I thought I would give you an idea of some of the projects we have put your money to over the past year.

Marie Curie – Walk 10 – Two of us entered our local walk held at Beaulieu, and the walk took us along the Beaulieu River to the ancient ship building area of Bucklers Hard and back through the New Forest, a lovely walk timed to finish at 10.00pm the time that the Marie Curie nurses visit their patients at night. Your money paid the entry fees and a sponsorship donation. This year the event takes place on August 4th and we hope to be there again.

Oakhaven – our local community hospice organise a number of events during the summer and we have joined in a few of these once again this year.

The Midnight Ramble is an interesting walk along the Hurst Castle shingle bank and back, only about 4 miles in total but on soft shingle a difficult walk, undertaken this year by a group of 7 Decorfolia walkers!

The Bike and Hike event was, for the first time done in glorious Autumn sunshine, and 4 of us set off to ride the 15 mile off-road route through our New Forest.

One of our clients trained long and hard to undertake the Moonwalk – but because she couldn't get a place in the London walk, she went up to Scotland for the event, we were happy to add to her sponsorship!

So as you can see, we try to ensure that some personal effort is involved, and thank you all for your donations to our fund.
